Tessa Protasivich has practiced massage therapy for 14 years and is a believer in the intrinsic healing capacity of the body. Tessa started her post secondary education with a Bachelor of Science in biology from Mount Saint Vincent university followed it with a degree in massage therapy from ICT Northumberland College. She returned to the college to teach, and taught pathophysiology and anatomy and physiology for a period of 7 years. Tessa has a strong connection with the body and a great understanding of how it functions both from a perspective of anatomy and physiology.

Tessa specializes in myofascial release, craniosacral therapy, general swedish massage, treating pelvic pain/disorders and treating TMJ. She is a skilled practitioner that has an ability to treat all conditions involving the musculoskeletal system. Tessa believes in the power of the parasympathetic nervous system  and tailors each treatment to be as effective as possible keeping the treatment within the comfort level of the client. Tessa believes if we can keep the body out of sympathetic firing (fight or flight) the body will begin to heal and reset itself.

Tessa is scientifically minded but also believes in being open minded to things that science has yet to explain. She is a holistic practitioner who considers treating the body as a whole rather than as an assembly of it's parts.

Aside from being a massage therapist Tessa loves spending time in nature and is enthusiastic about all kinds of animals. She is an avid bird watcher and is very knowledgeable about local bird species.Tessa is a mom and loves spending time with her child & family going camping, exploring nature, and spending time at parks, lakes or beaches.
